One True Religion

This posting may offend some people, however where truth is concerned, one must be bold and unafraid to speak it, regardless of the consequences or what others may think or believe. When it comes to matters of salvation, I would rather know the light than be left wandering in the dark!

So with that in mind, what I am about to say will likely offend and upset many segments of society - there is one true God, one true religion, and one pathway to Him. His name is not Allah, nor Brahma, nor some spiritual state of nirvana or enlightenment. His name is spelt YHWH, sometimes translated as Jehovah, and Jesus Christ was and is the only way to come to Him.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." - Acts 4:12

Note: This second verse above was given to me whilst walking across a car park in Kerikeri, the day after I wrote this article, so I can only assume that God wanted me to add this verse to the article, and that it was important to Him!

There are many good and well meaning people throughout the world who sincerely believe in their religion, and who believe they are on the correct path. However, the Bible says, "But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." - John 3:21 And, "Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and (that) no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost." - 1 Corinthians 12:3
God shall call who he calls and reveal the light to them.

Christianity is the one true religion, and by default, its predecessor Judaism whom share the one true God. Indeed it was given to the Jews to bring light to the world, however, their rejection of Jesus Christ as their Messiah meant that the Word was given over to the Gentiles (everyone else), who now flourish and receive the light of the Word. The Jews will eventually come to recognise Jesus Christ as their saviour, as prophesied by the prophet Zechariah.

"The law and the prophets (were) until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it." - Luke 16:16

"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." - Romans 11:25

"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for (his) only (son), and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for (his) firstborn." - Zechariah 12:10

So to sum up, Islam is not the true religion, nor Hinduism, nor Buddhism, nor Sikhism, nor Shintoism, nor any other belief whether it be in a so-called god or man or beast or creeping thing nor any other position under the sun!

There is one true God, one true religion, and one man through which all is revealed - Jesus Christ. He died for the sins of the world, that through one man, all might be saved for those that are willing to believe on Him.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

But not as the offence, so also (is) the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, (which is) by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many."

- Romans 5:12 & 5:15

"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

- John 3:17

Of course, many are unwilling to believe in a God of creation at all, preferring to believe in one fantastic amazing cosmic coincidence through which all things were magically created and just somehow managed to be perfectly designed, positioned and aligned in some wonderful and perfectly balanced accident. This has to be an even greater stretch than believing in a God of intelligence who endowed everything with aspects of himself.

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, (even) his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"

- Romans 1:20

Nowhere in this existence in which we live does something created not have a creator, or something designed not have a designer, or something built not have a builder. And so it follows, if there is a tree, someone created, designed and grew it. There is nothing in this world or universe that someone did not design, create or build. Everything has a source. Everything has an origin and a beginning, and everyone has a designer - God through Jesus Christ.

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."

- Revelation 22:13

"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

- John 1:3

Ultimately, whether you choose to believe in God or not, your belief or unbelief does not change the truth. An apple is still red (or green), the sky is still blue, and all those things have a creator. As it is written, "let God be true, but every man a liar." - Romans 3:4

P.S. It was God's idea that I write this article and not my own. I was praying to God on the night of the 20^th of July on a completely unrelated matter and this came back to me, and therefore I had to write it, much like many of the other entries and postings that were inspired through the Holy Spirit.
